Blackjack

Blackjack is a card game that is well accepted in most online casinos. This card game requires players to compare their cards with the dealer, and that is where the main competition takes place. As everyone is competing with the dealer, the players do not really compete against each other.

To begin the game, there are normally a deck or more with each deck having 52 cards. Each card in the deck has an assigned value. The aim of the game is to figure out different ways in which a player can beat the dealer. The aim of the game is to reach a total of 21 points on the two cards that the dealer gives out at the beginning of the game. If the dealer has cards of lower value, then one will have won against the dealer. The win also applies if the dealers keeps drawing cards until the dealer has a score that is more than 21.

How to play online blackjack

The first thing every player should know is the game rules. Out of the 52 card decks, cards 2-10 are usually worth the value on their face. Then there are the kings, queens and jacks, each of which have a value of 10 points. There are also the aces and depending on preference, they could be valued as either 1 or 11. The player is required to draw cards totalling closer to 21, without exceeding, and should be more than the dealer’s cards.

The game begins by one placing a bet, and this is through a chip or chips being stacked within the betting square. If there are several players, then each one and the dealer are given two cards. All players will be able to see one of the dealers cards as it will be turned up.

A player can HIT, which entails taking another card to get closer to 21. If the value is more than 21, you lose the bet.

A player can STAND, which entails not drawing more cards expecting the current total to be more than the dealer’s totals.

Players can also DOUBLE DOWN, which needs the original bet to be doubled to get an additional card no matter the denomination.
You may SPLIT if your first two cards are of the same denomination. You will be able to make a second bet equal to the first, and then split the pair using each card as the first card in a separate hand.

There is also INSURANCE if the dealers’ face up card is an ace. By taking insurance, you are betting that the dealer has a card of a 10-value that might complete the blackjack. The insurance is taken for half the original bet and pays 2-1 if the dealer has the blackjack.
